Introduction
Welcome to HWK 1365 SE.
With the IPO in early summer 2024, Germany’s oldest industrial company is opening up to the capital market. Hüttenwerke Königsbronn can look back on a long tradition dating back to 1365. At that time, Emperor Charles IV granted the Königsbronn Cistercian monks mining rights for the extraction of the floor ore available in the Ostalb region.
Today, with around 100 employees, we are the world market leader for large calender rolls, a high-tech product of German mechanical engineering that is essential for the production of high-quality paper and cardboard. Our traditional company is supported by highly motivated employees and managers. They are all passionately committed to quality and top performance and have a significant stake in the company as shareholders.
Our growth drivers are the increasing demand for cardboard packaging in e-commerce and for coated paper as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic packaging. However, other fields of application and the expansion of the service business also offer opportunities that we want to exploit.
